Gerrit Duits, the Director of Spirax, has been in the industry for more than 35 years. He has worked worldwide - England, Sweden, Spain, Germany, Norway and Holland - not to mention Australia of course. Rod McMaugh (pronounced MacMore) is our estimator and site manager and is also a mature and highly experienced civil/structural engineer. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge from both the consulting and construction sides of engineering, and he is too modest to speak about his many skills.

His expertise in site management for works of every size, from the small to the large, has exposed him to the myriad problems that can occur on any site and any sized project. He finds solutions to both the simple and the complex before a problem arises, and his project planning and management skills means that there are no problems but little ones.

‘There is no such thing as a problem’ he says, ‘just poor management and lack of experience.’
